Like many artists/cartoonists my age I was influenced a bit by skateboarding. Now for me skateboarding wasn't about fancy tricks and whatnot, it was a cheap way of getting around. In my neighborhood we lived on a hill connected by steep driveways which made it an extremely fun and all together dangerous way to spend your days after school. Flash forward to about a decade or so later when I unearthed my deck and felt that twinge of excitement - well nothing like a mouthy eight year old to really put things in perspective for you.
